The management of Azam FC has noted that they failed to use the chances they got in Mzizima Dabi against Simba played at Mkapa Stadium, May 9, 2024.
In that game after 90 minutes the board read Azam FC 0-3 Simba and three points went to Msimbazi.
In that game, attacking midfielder Feisal Salum missed a penalty kick in the 33rd minute after Che Malone fouled Azam FC star Gibril Sillah.
In the 69th minute, Azam FC scored a goal through Nado, the assistant referee pointed out that the scorer was in an offside trap.
Thabit Zakaria, Manager of the Simba Information Department said: “We had a chance, including the penalty given to us by referee Ahmed Arajiga, but we missed it, it’s part of the game.
“But also the assistant referee denied us the goal that we scored because the scorer was not in the offside area.”
Azam FC in the league standings is number two after playing 26 matches and has collected 57 points. Simba is third with 56 points after playing 25 matches.
